Jennifer Lloyd, MSPH began working with the Shelby County Health Department in 2014 as the Regional Epidemiologist. As the regional epidemiologist, Jennifer manages the syndromic surveillance system, investigates disease outbreaks, and assists with disease case investigations. She is also the Regional Influenza Surveillance Coordinator, working to monitor influenza-like illness trends throughout the year.
Jennifer is originally from Virginia where she got her Bachelor's degree in Biological Anthropology from James Madison University. From there, she moved to Baltimore and got her Master's of Science in Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health with a concentration in Global Disease Epidemiology and Control. Before coming to Memphis, she worked as an Epidemiology Intern for the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services for over year.
